Lumina Privacy Policy
This Policy explains what data Lumina collects, how we use it, how AI features process content, and how you can request access, correction, deletion, or consent changes.
If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use Lumina.

1. Data We Collect
We collect only the data needed to operate Lumina and improve the experience.
- Account data such as name, email, sign-in provider, language, time zone, and subscription status.
- User content such as journal entries, notes, highlights, reading progress, plan activity, reflections, and questions submitted to AI features.
- Device and usage data such as app version, device model, operating system, diagnostics, crash logs, IP address, locale, and basic interaction events.
- Purchase data handled by Apple, Google, Stripe, or other payment providers. We do not receive full payment card numbers.
2. How We Use Data
We use data to provide Bible reading, devotionals, reading plans, sync, account security, subscriptions, support, analytics, abuse prevention, and product improvement. We do not sell personal data.
3. AI Features and Consent
When you use AI summaries, devotional chat, verse explanations, or similar tools, the content you submit and relevant context may be sent to AI infrastructure to generate a response. You can manage AI analysis and summary preferences in the app. AI output may be incomplete or inaccurate and should support, not replace, Scripture reading or trusted human guidance.
4. Sharing and Processors
We share data only as needed with service providers that help us operate Lumina, such as cloud hosting, databases, authentication, analytics, diagnostics, payment processors, app stores, email/support tools, and AI model providers. We do not share data for third-party advertising.
5. Cookies and Website Data
The website may use basic cookies, browser storage, logs, or privacy-respecting analytics to keep the site working, understand traffic, protect against abuse, and improve content.
6. Retention
We keep account data and user content while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. We may retain limited records where required for security, fraud prevention, accounting, legal obligations, dispute resolution, or backups, then delete or anonymize them when no longer needed.
7. Account and Data Deletion
You can request deletion from inside the app or from the web. Visit the account deletion page to start the request. We will delete or anonymize eligible account data and content after verifying ownership, unless we must keep limited records for legal, security, or billing reasons.

8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, object to, restrict, or withdraw consent for certain processing. Contact us to make a request.
9. Children
Lumina is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data without appropriate consent, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
10. International Transfers
Lumina may process data in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. We use reasonable safeguards when transferring data across borders.
11. Security
We use safeguards such as encryption in transit, access controls, and cloud security practices. No service can guarantee absolute security.
